The York Symphony Orchestra and Chorus concludes the season with Carl Orff’s Carmina burana. Inspired by medieval poems and codex, Carmina burana combines bold percussion with recurring vocals and vivacious harmonies. Strauss’ Wine, Women and Song captures a Viennese Waltz structure with vibrant arrangements and fanfare.
