In a stunning program, the YSO concludes its year-long celebration of Ludwig von Beethoven with a full-circle event: Beethoven’s First and Ninth Symphonies on one program. The German indulged his innovative spirit when creating his First Symphony, which is renowned for announcing its author’s originality. The York Symphony Orchestra and Chorus join together to perform Beethoven’s final masterpiece, the Ninth Symphony. The work’s enduring grandeur continues to inspire generations of music lovers and stands as a testament to the power of music to unite and inspire.

Pre-Concert Talk
On the night of classical concerts, Pre-Concert Talks will take place from the front of the Appell Center’s Strand Theatre stage at 6:30-7PM. Admission is free for all ticket holders. Assistant Conductor Rebekah O’Brien will take you on an enlightening journey of the forthcoming concert. We look forward to seeing you!
