Support YSO
Why Should You Give to the YSO?
The YSO has been an important part of our community for over 90 years. Beyond delivering lively performances that excite and entertain, the Symphony is a critical part of cataloging our history, of experiencing our present and looking toward the future. As a proponent of the arts and culture in York and our surrounding communities, we look forward each year to touching more members, inspiring more people through our mission.
As a member of the York and surrounding communities, we seek to continue to act in our important role as a valuable cultural and historical resource, to promote the importance of music in our daily lives as an enriching and educational advocate for music, to provide opportunities to youth in the community through music.

Corporate Sponsorships
Turn one night of music into a season of marketing
The York Symphony is happy to provide an opportunity for you or your company to sponsor all or part of a concert. Sponsorship is a way to let the community know your commitment to the arts and, especially the York Symphony Orchestra.
Ask any one of our Corporate Sponsors! Sponsoring an evening’s performance can be a magical experience … a personalized on stage welcome, your logo up in lights, your company name on the Appell Center marquee, entertaining guests at a post-concert reception, meeting the Guest Artist and the YSO’s Conductor … it will be a night to remember. And while that night will end, the marketing won’t! You will continue to be applauded in the Program Book all season long, in addition to being included in an extensive marketing campaign that will give you many more chances to take a bow.

Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program
EITC
York Symphony Orchestra is an approved Educational Improvement Organization with five approved music educational outreach programs. These programs reach students from kindergarten through high school, throughout York City and County. A typical school year will have the YSO interact with more than 12,000 students.
Businesses of all types that pay taxes of varying types in Pennsylvania may seek to qualify for significant tax credits in support of YSO’s educational programs. Tax credits of 75% or as high as 90% with a two-year commitment may be available.
For example, a business applies for and receives approval for $100,000 of tax credits and then writes checks to five qualified organizations, such as the YSO. That $100,000 contribution would cost only $25,000 out of pocket. And, if the business commits to two years of similar payments, those two $100,000 contributions would cost only $10,000 each year.

** Of course, any interested businesses should seek professional advice when considering these kinds of commitments.**
