Chair Naming Endowments
The YSO applauds the donors who have supported our legacy with an endowment. As this long-term initiative grows in popularity, eleven of the donor-named chairs are fully endowed and three are the result of three-year pledges, with right of first refusal for renewals.

Recognizing and honoring major artistic positions within the York Symphony Orchestra is the hallmark of this elite level of leadership giving. More than one half of “Principal Chairs” and key “Artistic Professional Positions” bear the name of dedicated donors to the YSO.
Legacy Giving
The Encore Society is made up of individuals who have advised us that they have included the York Symphony Orchestra or Chorus in their wills or other planned giving legal instruments.
